Out of combat or for simple checks stealth is handled by Stealth (A) vs Passive Awareness or an opposed Stealth (A) vs Awareness (Int).
In combat or for longer scenes use the stealth score system.
Stealth Score
- Combat Action to make a Stealth (A) Test
- Record the number of rolled Icons = Stealth Score
- Acts as the DN for Passive Awareness/Awareness (Int) Tests
- If discovered, stealth score is lost and can’t be rolled again for the rest of the scene
- Certain actions your stealth score and the GM can award bonuses

Moving Stealthily
You may use a Combat Action and your Movement to Move Stealthily. You move at half your Speed in metres and cannot Run or Sprint while Moving Stealthily.
Surprise Attacks
If you attack an unaware enemy, you gain 2 bonus dice to the Attack Test and +2 ED. If a Surprise Attack starts a combat, the target is also ambushed (p.177). The attack is likely to reduce your Stealth Score; any decrease is resolved after the attack.
