• Loki has spent a week moping and hunting aimlessly for Titania
• When wandering through London looking and approaching tow companies, he is approached by a strange man who cryptically offers him a car and shows him a picture of Titania
• Gives him a commlink

08/10/2076 (Thursday)

• A day later he gets a call
• Offering him a job with Titania in return
• Sounds pretty shady
• Location for meet is Bronze Lighthouse
• High lifestyle restaurant
• Need to dress appropriately
• Table booked under Bandit

• Sanguine buys a good suit – white with white leather shoes
• Smith buys a cheap suit and borrows an armour vest from Jack
• Loki collects his tartan suit from the restaurant after a negotiation with the staff
• Left there by Bandit, after being stolen with Titania
• Team meets up, Smith asks about the last run and how Titania was lost

• Head into the restaurant
• Get escorted to a table to wait
• The dwarf how escorted us to the table comes and sits down
• Starts carving a pig – real!
• This is our Johnson
• Sanguine refuses the pig, Johnson insists and when he tries to stop him, he drops the plate on Sanguine’s nice white suit
• He mentions we have a ‘reputation’ for people dying
• Wants us to kill someone
• £100,000 total
• He is rather antagonistic

• Johnson leaves

• Lives in a low lifestyle area, Area is a ghoul haven

• Team discusses their options
• Jack/Sanguine and Smith are against killing her if she’s innocent
• Sanguine does a search
• She’s involved in setting up a place for ghouls to live

Over the next few days the team does some legwork

• Jack contacts Dominic Sharpe for more info on the ghouls
• Natalie has moved to this community in London
• He’s heard of Robyn Wood
• Thinks she’s a fixer
• Sanguine does a search
• Finds contact info for the commune
• Gets some info on the Johnson
• Bandit

• Turf includes the Bronze Lighthouse
• Controls a gang of around 50
• Real name: Caldwell Nolan – proprietor of the Bronze Lighthouse
• Has a reputation for hating ghouls
• Personal but not sure why
• Personal grudge might be due to a loss of family
• Sanguine contacts Fabiana’s people to see if he can get more information

10/10/2076 (Thursday)

• Vlad, Smith and Jack head off to ghoul town
• Ghouls on the streets
• We’re being watched
• As we get out of the car some of the ghouls run for it
• Jack approaches a group and asks about Robyn
• Says he has some info for her
• Hands over a commcode
• Gives his name as Schaeffer and mentions that he’s helped the community before
• They are non-committal but say they’ll pass it on

11/10/2076 (Friday)

• Jack gets a call from Natalie
• Ghoul town is actually called the haven
• She’s asking why he was in the haven
• Informs her that he has information on a threat
• Meeting is arranged for that evening

Sanguine gets some info from Fabiana

• Gang known as the Lighthouse keepers
• Gang operating mainly in High lifestyle area
• Near Peckham

• Drive to ghoul town that evening
• Loki agrees to try and keep things peaceful
• Waved down by a troll sized ghoul who gets in the car and gives directions
• Leads us to a building and takes us inside
• Met by Donna and Natalie
• They recognise Jack and co
• Jack spins a tale about the van and coming across information on a bounty on Robyn
• Joined by 4 ghouls
• Natalie leaves and Robyn enters

• Robyn implies that the reason for her assassination is non-specific
• Robyn implied that the ghouls ain’t all that nice, due to socioeconomic hardship (and the need for human flesh)
• Sanguine asks for advice on the Lighthouse Keepers but Robyn doesn’t know much about them
• Team offers to kill Bandit for her
• Robyn will get back to us within the week

• Team decides to investigate Peckham to look for a) gang colours b) corner dealing c) people carrying weapons d) Titania

• Jack and Vlad are making an approach

12/10/2076 (Saturday)

• Jack gets a call from Robin saying, ‘Info – want meet?’ – in person
• Return to Haven to meet Robin and Natalie
• Nolan’s real name is Richard Stokes
• Person he ‘lost’ to the virus was Donna, they have her commlink which Sanguine takes for investigation
• Jack gets a number from one of the bodyguards – call for more ‘shadowy’ assistance

• Sanguine hacking into commlink inside a jamming field
• Contacts
• Messages
• Is able to identify and hack a commlink belonging to Bandit
• Personal comm, nothing useful about the van
• But does give a location

• Team heads to Bandit’s house
• Decision is made to break in
• Jack fashions some uniforms – overalls
• Vlad, Jack, Loki and Sanguine heading in
• High lifestyle apartments
• Managed reception
• Sanguine hacking into the host to set up a fake maintenance appointment
• Lighting repair
• Jack attempts a suggestion on reception – fails
• SINs getting scanned, Sanguine is assisting it being less of a records management concern
• RFID chips get us in to 42, motion sensors light the room up
• Jack finds USB, Sanguine plugs it into a spare commlink, overlay activates and shows nothing overlaying the map
• Desk has a hidden map of London, correlates to gang areas, screenshots of overlays taken
• Sanguine leaves another calling card
• We leave to reception, hand in RFID cards

• Drive to closest of 5 garages, Vlad will drop gang off on corner, drive in as a random person trying to find a reason the car is faulty
• Dwarf man calls Loki, makes clear he knows we’re touring garages, and threatens Titania’s wellbeing again

• Jack gets a call from the ghoul bodyguard ‘Deadbolt’
• Offering back up to fight Bandit
• Wants us to prove how useful we are
• Offering £80k to investigate a hacker who was getting into Braun Chemical Corp
• Located about the sewers with the behemoth
• Hacker is clearly the one shot by Sanguine
• Maybe we should look at that laptop that Sanguine stole off him
• Job will involve hacking in
• Identifying something and then stealing it
• Also identify what happened to the ghoul

• He wants us to steal a chemical weapon that was used in Berlin at some point previously
• Some of the ghouls here became ghouls to survive its effects
• Jack seems to know more
• We meet at the pub for a history lesson:
• Jack lived in Berlin free state
• Anarchist state
• Ended after a terrorist attack
• Nanite weapon – Surtr
• Incinerates organic material on contact

• Sanguine hacked into the ghoul’s laptop
• They’re trying to develop Surtr into a more targeted weapon

• Jack calls, agrees same prices for destruction of Surtr

• Smith will spend time making a directional explosive to put a thermos into

• Sanguine reviews the sewer for access to corp and hacks the host to get schematics of the building
• 20 floors
• 4 possible labs
• Sanguine has returned to the scene of the sewer crime and has found maintenance tunnels under the corp building
• Jack went to a pub to look for disgruntled employees

• Jack and Vlad Met up with Varnish

• Swiped day shift worker keycards x2 and copied them successfully

• Jack creates a Force 4 Armour Spell Alchemy. Potency 2 (4 hours from creation)

14/10/2076 (Monday)

• Heading down into the sewer
• Past the behemoth corpse
• The rats are watching us
• Sanguine goes to pick up one
• Tries to bite him
• There are now hundreds of them
• Jack assenses them; they are being influenced by some sort of magic
• Devil rat spotted down the corridor

• Smith goes for a headshot on the devil rat from >20m
• Rats start advancing, Loki tries to mince them with spurs
• Sanguine vaults the barrier and then shoots at some Devil rats
• Jack does stuff with his spirit and casts a physical barrier
• Smith shotgunned some devil rats
• Loki blows another one away
• Rats attack the rearguard barrier which fails
• Smaller rats pile up against the front barrier and overrun
• Suppressing Fire from Smith wipes out the rats against the former barrier
• Jack fires a thunderbolt and fries a rat
• Loki kills another
• Sanguine does a rat-killing trick-shot, punting its body into a tunnel, and goads Smith
• Smith decides to be fancier and kill 2 rats in a one-r, succeeding

• Rats defeated the team moves on to where they first encountered the ghoul
• Sanguine heads through to the generator room
• Sanguine hacks into the host and narrows it down to 2 locations
• Jack and Vlad are going scouting
• They banter in lift with security
• Sanguine loops camera near Vlad whilst he picks lock
• Vlad talks in lab room with security who insist he gets proper ID
• Jack tries to get into service room, looks in room, machinery, heads down corridor, spots a fellow cleaner. Goes past, looking at pipes
• Vlad excuses himself into the toilet and hides there pulling out his stun glove
• Vlad gets locked in the toilet by 2× security guards who clearly think something is up
• Sanguine thinks it is time to move in
• Jack attempts to instruct a janitor to open the lab door
• Fails, janitor is very grumpy
• So Jack Punches him AT FORCE 12 (because he is a specialist in social infiltration baller spells)
• Janitor blown back across the room, KO
• Then feels bad and heals him a bit
• Steals the mop, commlink and keycard and heads out
• Jack tries to use commlink to get access and has to talk with security who says nothing logged to be fixed etc. Gets in but still on commlink. No Surtr here
• Spider falls for his bluff it and sends maintenance crew

• Sanguine notes local police (×4) entering building to get Vlad…presumably. DNIs Vlad.
• Lift takes mechanics to level 12, Sanguine tries to hack lift with coppers in
• We (S/L/S) are at lab, directed to service entrance which Jack is opening; Smith gets handed cloned keycard

• Vlad busts out of loo and cleaves the security in two at the necks
• Jack beats a retreat whilst convincing comms guy all’s sorted
• Loki follows Smith because of the fairly evident fire-in-the-hole motion
• Sanguine tries to wipe digital stuff, stuffing notebooks into overalls
• Vlad sees coppers come into view, guns levelled and runs for it
• Jack’s spirit makes Vlad invisible, then dematerialises and waits for more orders
• Smith and Loki heading down stairs, Smith pushes door open into hallway; Loki ½ floor away, rest 1fl
• Smith sees 3 of the 4 cops from behind and seeks to shoot all 3 in the back with sticknshock. One gets winged, the other 2 hit squarer, none go down
• Invisible-and-now-aware Vlad runs back at the police and goes for the 4^th cop with full fury of whip, cutting the cop in twain
• Jack stun-balls the police sending 2 to sleep
• Last one is knocked out

• Get into the other lab
• Find the thermos and more notes
• Smith sets Surtr canister into bomb
• Smith spools out wire, Sanguine runs to server room

• Team flees
• Corp-sec try to get to lab, Smith detonates. BOOM!
• Get to basement maintenance door. Vlad’s card doesn’t work, Sanguine goes to hack it, Smith just kicks it open
• Back in server room, Sanguine tries to wipe last hour’s footage from the network

• Team returns to Haven
• Jack is introduced to “Jackal”, whom Jack recognises as an elder of the Berlin anarchists. They promise to narrow down range of venues for vehicle and offer a group of ghouls and humans to attack the family
• Sanguine shows the map and gives a copy over
• Seb seems pleased Jack is returning to the fold

16/10/2076 (Wednesday)

• Jack checks with Jackal how many warriors will hit up garages. 50, apparently
• Plan: Stealth ghoul infiltration of 5 garages, to identify which one has Titania. A lock-picker, a drone controller, and a decker per team, with 5-7 heavies nearby in case things go down
• Split into 2 teams (Vlad/Sanguine/Jack; Smith/Loki), Jack doing VR. Vlad/S/J are near the 2 garages previously checked

That night:

• Jack summons a spirit at dusk before he goes into VR
• Jack watches the infiltrations unfold in VR, Sanguine comes to peek

• 3 – team can’t pick a lock, scaling building (Michael) – TITANIA!
• 1 – team has issues, guards on site – pulls back to wait
• 4+5 – teams get in – no people, no Titania
• 2 – been spotted, fallback firefight
• 1, 4 and 5 coordinate explosions

• We converge on the garage 3 (the one we went to before, sigh)
• Loki rams van through the door and squishes a ganger
• Smith pulls 3 shotgun shells on a fella and they dive for cover
• Loki pops finishes off the rammed gang member with a hollow point, as another charges and gets a stun-hit on Loki
• Smith gets unloaded on by everyone who can see him – ducks for cover in the passenger seat and is unharmed
• Jack commands Vlad not to be a coward
• Sanguine pops the window glass and Bad Newses one severing his neck
• Vlad charges in, whip held aloft, attacking two simultaneously
• Loki puts one in the armoured chest of one but doesn’t manage to kill him
• Jack sends in the ghouls and listens for HTR
• Smith pumps 6 shells into a ganger. He smashes the hell out of him
• Sanguine vaults into the room and shoots at another but he ducks out of the way
• Loki drops the gun and spurs his target trying to cut him to ribbons
• Sanguine checks the state of Titania before kneecapping a target
• Vlad runs from the battle
• Jack starts planning escape routes
• Smith, Loki and Sanguine finish off the remaining gangers

• We bundle into Titania (Smith/Sanguine/Loki)
• Get a call from Bandit
• Seems he has rigged Titania to explode if it drops below a certain speed
• He has also called HTR
• Vlad and Jack drop behind

• Vlad tries to look under the van from his car but can’t see anything
• Smith chemsniffs and establishes the presence of bomb/explosives, although that might be us
• Smith uses the wing mirror on a stick to ID where a suspect package is (drivers seat side)

• Smith climbs out of the van, over the roof and onto the bonnet wriggles down to look under the driver’s side, using the gecko grips and with spirit backup
• Bomb is besides wheel, with speedo, sizes it up to establish the blast radius (take out the front half of the car). Plastique-looking

• Sirens in distance ⇒ Vlad and Jack go ahead to look for roadworks/obstacles
• Jack coordinates ghoul-hacking attempts (keep traffic at bay, lights on our side, routes to navigate, cameras to knock out where possible)

• Smith passes a wire, via Loki, back to Sanguine to hold, and uses spirit to get him in position to attach the wire – and a fallback frag grenade. Smith gets close enough to eyeball it, sticks the frag grenade next to the bomb and wires in the USB

• Sanguine keeps working thru security layers of offline bomb:
• Sensor reporting speed (device on inner wheel-rim) with instructions (if speed<“50”, detonate)
• Sanguine cuts detonator (he thinks)
• Sanguine cuts speed-gauge-device
• Red light starts flashing; low fuel gauge lights up; HTR about to land
• Smith wiggles down further and sees a second port with wires looping back to port 1 – separate circuit…

• HTR has arrived
• Blitzkrieg bikes
• Sanguine messes one up with a complex form
• Smith climbs up on the hood (passenger side)
• Jack gets his spirit to cast ‘accident’ on the remaining bike…which causes a glitch the bike has to resist. It fails spectacularly
• Bike pulls alongside – final warning – and cars closing in from behind
• Sanguine repeats the feat…getting the bike away before it pulls the trigger

• Vlad slows down and tries to distract the cars on approach
• Cars arrive and send out drones. Sanguine causes one drone to wobble and Smith pops one
• Loki pulls some crazy handbrake turn down a narrow street to shake cars

• Jack gets the # of a gogang who will disrupt HTR but not engage
• They pitch up near Titania to generate some smoke and loud noise, but not enough to be a smokescreen
• They fall into rear of Titania (reverse V)
• Loki sweeps round a dumpster driveway, screeches into disused parking lot, lights out, engine off
• Bikes blast pass, lights of HTR pass by too
• Sanguine scoots under the van and touches the hell out of those bombs to disarm them both
• Smith removes the bomb

• Visit stuffer shack for fuel and soyburritos
• Drive to restaurant (looks empty)
• Consider chucking bomb through window, smith attaches a wireless detonator, Smith chucks it through the window
• We drive off and as Titania hits 50mph we get a boom boom boom
